Hotel overview

High in Jamaica’s Blue Mountains, 3,100 feet above Kingston, Strawberry Hill offers a completely different side of the island. The air is cool, mornings arrive wrapped in mist and the views stretch from the mountain ridges to the lights of Kingston.

Set on a 26-acre former coffee estate, it was once Chris Blackwell’s family retreat and became the first Island Outpost hotel in 1994. Twelve Georgian-style cottages sit among botanical gardens, where open fires, hummingbirds and birdsong replace the rhythms of the coast. Bob Marley, the Rolling Stones and U2 are among those who have stayed.
